Our bar and restaurant
is an ideal meeting and relaxing place for travellers
and locals alike. We offer you an extensive choice
of real ales, such as Betty Stoggs, Cornish Knocker,
Cornish Blonde, Doom Bar, Atlantic IPA, Lerryn
Ale and St. Pirans. A wide selection of wines
by the glass or an extensive range of spirits,
liqueurs, vintage ports, malt whiskeys and brandy.
Our
bar/restaurant food is prepared by our chef, Hasan Akkos, who takes pride in serving
you well presented, freshly prepared and locally
sourced produce.
During the daytime or evening,
it is entirely your choice whether you eat in
the bar, restaurant or garden. Although for full
enjoyment of our evening menu, we do recommend
you dine in the comfort of our candlelit restaurant.
During the day and evening, we offer a selection of dishes from our bar menu and main menu which we update every season. We also have plenty of specials from our chalkboard for you to sample. These may typically consist of a soup of the day, mussels in white wine and garlic sauce, pork chop served with apple and swede mash, Morrocan lamb tagine, roasted vegetable & goats cheese lattice , a choice of hot or cold baguettes, plus plenty of other superb locally sourced options, for meat eaters, fish lovers and vegetarians to enjoy. For the children, there are plenty of wholesome choices, including pasta with cheese and tomato sauce, local chipolaters, fat chips and beans, fish & chips and homemade burgers. For Sunday lunch, we always prepare a traditional roast of beef, pork, lamb or chicken (also in childrens sizes) plus a wide range of fish and vegetarian dishes. On Saturday evenings, roughly once a month, we organise special themed food nights, which in the past have included Turkish, Chinese, French and Indian food nights. To receive a forthcoming events diary or current menu, please email enquiries@theshipinnlerryn.co.uk.
A
word of advice; the restaurant does get full
at weekends, we recommend that you make a reservation.
